Don't Mess with Will's Food

So apparently I don't feed my son. Will's 9-month stats
Height: 28 3/4 in 45%
Weight: 20 lbs 5 oz 50%
Head Circumference: 46.6 85%

So in 3 months he dropped from 90% to 45%! Well he's doctors not concerned so I guess I shouldn't be either. Maybe it's because he started crawling? Anyways, I had an interview with the Bishop that night (for a calling I only sort of had for 4 days) and he asked how Will was. I told him how he was shrinking he looked at me and said very serious like, "Well he's still special" I completely agree! I love our bishop. Anyways here's some videos to show how passionate our little man is about his food.

I love videos because then I don't have to type as much! Anyways I was eating an apple one night and Will started grunting (That's how he "asks" for things) anyways once he decides he wants something its a one track mind until he either gets it or it disappears. (Yay for no object permanence!) So that night he actually ended up with my apple.

One night when I was cooking dinner Will reached over and grabbed a jalapeƱo that was sitting on the counter. I thought well if he really wants it let him have it. To my surprise he actually enjoyed it. It was so funny we had to recreate it when Danny got home. Sorry it's so dark, I dislike daylight savings it's like pitch black when Danny gets home :(
Another instant of Will demanding my food. We were eating dinner when Will decided he didn't want his food he wanted mine. So I gave him a few noodles to keep him occupied while we ate. To our surprise this little guy already knows how to slurp noodles. The video is a little long because I was too lazy to figure out how to cut it as Danny suggests on the video. Sorry, but at least Will is cute.

Ok, so I finally got a calling... well sort of. On Wednesday I met with our Bishop and got called to the Activities committee. Well on Saturday during the World Wide Leadership meeting it was announced that there will no longer be an activities committee. So today at church they did callings and releases and I didn't get called. After, church the bishop asked me to still coordinate the monthly dinners at his house as an assignment and that they would prayerfully consider another calling for me. I was so close to having a real calling! oh well :(

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween! So here's our family costume pic. For those who haven't seen How to Train Your Dragon. Will is a dragon oh I mean a fearsome Night fury named Toothless. Me and Danny are dragon hunters named Hiccup and Astrid.

Danny & Will at Trunk-or-Treat. Our candy last about 45 second! oh well Will was teething so we went home pretty early.

The whole fam at Trunk-or-Treat.
My favorite thing happened at Trunk-or-Treat though a six yr. old boy said, "ya know what?... You guys look like How to Train your Dragon" Success!!! oh and then he added "Mom look at the baby Toothless" This kid knows his stuff.

Note the broken tail we're into the details here
On the move

I love this face!

Danny entertaining us with a puppet show. I'm actually not sure if the ax or shield won.
Mischievous lil' dragon
This is how sad Will is when we take off his wings! He loves his costume that much.

jk he was tired and thus why we were taking off the wings

Cute Will Stories

My goal is to blog once a week now that we have the internet back. So we'll see how that goes but for this week I'm on top of it :)

Yesterday, I was working upstairs on our Halloween costumes (which are going to be awesome!). Sadie, who is not allowed upstairs by herself, followed me up. I thought well I'm up here so it's ok and continued working. Then, I heard her whining very impatiently. I thought she had to really go to the bathroom and was at the back to to be let out. Which is pretty impressive instead of peeing on the carpet :( So I ran downstairs to see what was up. I couldn't find her downstairs but, as I was walking back upstairs she came running out of Will's room. She was all worked up because Will was asleep in his crib. I think she thought he was hurt or stuck or something. During all of this commotion Will woke up and started crying so Sadie hoped up on her hind legs and started licking his fingers through the slates. Maybe those two will actually become friends after all.

So later on that afternoon I was still working on our Halloween costumes! I had a movie on to help direct my costume making (we're characters from a movie but you'll find out which one when I'm done with them). Anyways, I paused the movie in a good frame to copy the costume and went into the other room to work. Will was playing and crawling around on the floor. When all of the sudden I here the radio on. I walked back into the room and see Will standing and the DVD player turning the volume up and down. It was pretty funny particularly since he had his hand on the volume knob just right and looked like he actually knew what he was doing. I'm going to try and add a video of it, but I must say the video is not that good. However, I haven't put any videos of the kid up yet so it might still be fun. I promise to have better pictures next week. Until then have a great week everyone!

Oh yeah, I'm thinking of trying to sell Diaper Cakes, and Dishtowel Cakes on Craig's List so I have some guilt-free money to spend on projects. What do you guys think? Bobbi Lee I know you did Diaper Cakes for a while are you still doing them?

The Hunt for the Great Pumpkin

I'm sorry to everyone who gets our blog by email and just received this 3 times. Me and blogger were fighting I think we're better now. Look at this post the story should line up here. :)

This is my dad and me. Today we are going on a hunt for the Great Pumpkin! "Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere."
Ok, Dad lets check this spot. It looks like there's a lot of nice pumpkins over here.
No, this isn't it. None of these pumpkins are big enough to be THE Great Pumpkin. We had better keep looking.
Mmm, It looks like there might be a clue here. Come Dad have a look and see what you think.
Yes, yes I see what you mean these pumpkins are not round enough to be the Great Pumpkin.

And so Will continued to look High and Low for the Great Pumpkin.
Time to grab a snack and refuel. mmm, corn...stalk?
I don't even see any pumpkins here. This is going to be harder than I thought. Maybe, I should change my mode of transportation.
By Land or ...
By air?
Well since the Great Pumpkin should be on the ground maybe I'll drive.

Now I just need to figure out how to turn this thing on...

Ah, there we go now we're cruising
Well these pumpkins are definitely getting larger.
"He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see."
"Hey aren't you going to stay to great the Great Pumpkin? Huh? It won't be long now. If the Great Pumpkin comes, I'll still put in a good word for you!
....
Good grief I said 'if'! I meant 'when' he comes!
...
I'm doomed. One little slip like that could cause the Great Pumpkin to pass you by. Oh Great Pumpkin, where are you?
"STUPID? What do you mean 'stupid'? Just wait 'til next year, Charlie Brown. You'll see! Next year at this same time, I'll find the pumpkin patch that is real sincere and I'll sit in that pumpkin patch until the Great Pumpkin appears. He'll rise out of that pumpkin patch and he'll fly through the air with his bag of toys. The Great Pumpkin will appear and I'll be waiting for him! I'll be there! I'll be sitting there in that pumpkin patch and I'll see the Great Pumpkin. Just wait and see, Charlie Brown. I'll see the Great Pumpkin. I'll SEE the Great Pumpkin! Just you wait, Charlie Brown. The Great Pumpkin will appear and I'll be waiting for him..."

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Grandpa Baune this was for you we hope you enjoyed it!

"P.S.: If you are a fake, please don't tell me. I don't wanna know."

Howdy Ya'll!

Ok so keeping up a blog without having the Internet at home is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be! I am actually posting this from the car repair shop with the Corrolla is getting an oil change. Anyways, it's time to take pictures again but here are the ones we took when Will was 4 months. So in other words their already a month old. sorry ;)

Will did fantastic at his 4 month appointment! He flirted with all the nurses and didn't even cry after his shots. He was 90 percentile all the way across the board and weighted in at a whooping 17 1/4 lbs! (We think he's about 18.5 now)
Will playing with Dad's old toys
Will playing with Dad's new toys!

We'll the car's ready to this is all for now hope everyone is doing well.

3 Month Pics!

What We've Been Up To

For those of you who receive these by email ignore the first email. I messed up my back this weekend so I moved the computer to the couch so that I could catch up on Will's baby book and blogging. He's sitting next to me and thinks it is kind of fun to kick the keyboard. Thus, the post before it was really a post.
Will had his first play date a couple of weeks ago with a little girl in our ward. Believe it or not the little girl is actually a week older than Will.
This is how Will likes to sleep when we don't swaddle him. completely spread out!
Will loves his bath time, but I think he's getting too big for the sink. We moved him to the tub and he absolutely loves kicking in the water and having his ears under the water so that he can hear the water. I'm worried that might give him an ear infection, anyone know?
Will's first fort! This blanket looks really cool when you look at the light through it. It looks like the animals are lit up. Will loves laying underneath it. Danny and Will did fall asleep under it though.

Will likes to help me make the bed, but most of the time he likes to be made in the bed.

So Big!

Will is going up so fast he seems to think it's a race. Everyone at church was agreeing with his nurse that he looks more like a 4 month old. Everyone keeps saying it that once when someone asked how old he was I actually said 4 months before I caught myself. (Then again I also told someone he was 10 months... maybe I just need more sleep)

Here he is in his bumba chair. He does really well for about 10 minutes before his neck gets too tired, but hey I can finish half my dinner in 10 minutes! ... and sometimes it's even still warm :)
